A Simple Comparison on the Caribbean CBI Pricing

Historic Price Increase in Caribbean Citizenship by Investment Programs

Recent changes have seen a significant and historic increase in the Caribbean Citizenship by Investment (CBI) program fees. In March 2024, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed, enforcing a new standardized minimum investment of US$200,000 across five countries within the OECS: Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St.Lucia, and St. Kitts and Nevis.

Before and After the Agreement

Previously, the minimum investments were as follows:

  • Antigua and Barbuda: US$100,000 for the National Development Fund (NDF)

  • Dominica: US$100,000 – US$175,000 for the Economic Diversification Fund

  • Grenada: US$150,000 for the National Transformation Fund

  • St. Lucia: US$100,000 for the National Economic Fund

  • St. Kitts and Nevis: US$250,000 for the Sustainable Growth Fund

Since June 30, 2024, the new thresholds have been implemented:

  • Antigua and Barbuda: US$230,000 for the NDF

  • Dominica: US$200,000 for the Economic Diversification Fund

  • Grenada: US$235,000 for the National Transformation Fund

  • St. Lucia: US$240,000 for the National Economic Fund

  • St. Kitts and Nevis: US$250,000 for the Sustainable Growth Fund

In addition, St. Lucia now requires a minimum investment of US$240,000 for the National Economic Fund and US$300,000 for Real Estate. Grenada has extended the deadline for its CBI program’s price increase to July 12, 2024, due to complications following Hurricane Beryl.

Antigua and Barbuda’s Deadline Extension

Antigua and Barbuda did extended their investment deadline, allowing applicants until July 31, 2024, to apply under the previous terms:

  • Before July 31, 2024:

    • US$100,000 for the National Development Fund (NDF) for families up to 4

    • US$200,000 for Real Estate

    • US$150,000 for the University of West Indies Fund

  • After July 31, 2024:

    • US$230,000 for the NDF for families up to 4

    • US$325,000 for Real Estate
